The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital and a leading research centre. Our services aim to transform the lives of individuals affected by mental health and substance use challenges through patient-centered, comprehensive, and coordinated care.
CAMH is seeking one (1) full-time, 12-month contract Research Analyst to support the Toronto Adolescent and Youth (TAY) Cohort Study and related sub-studies. The TAY Cohort Study follows 1,500 youth to identify those at highest risk of developing psychosis and to understand the relationship between risk and functional outcomes. The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting laboratory/MRI/EEG/PET visits, administering structured diagnostic interviews, clinical scales, and cognitive tests. They will also maintain participant records, data entry, and support SOP development, recruitment, scheduling, and data preparation for research dissemination. The role involves onsite work at multiple CAMH locations, with some travel between sites, and requires weekend and evening shifts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Neuroscience, with at least one year of relevant experience working with youth or families with mental health challenges. Experience with neuropsychological assessments, structured diagnostic interviews, clinical rating scales, neuroimaging, and handling specimens is required. Skills in data management, literature review, and proficiency in software tools like REDCap, Word, PowerPoint, and databases are essential. Strong communication, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also required. Bilingualism (French/English) or second language proficiency is an asset.
