The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largestmental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in its field.Our services are delivered to help transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. Our goal is to tailor treatment to each individual, providing patient-centred, comprehensive, coordinated care.

Reporting directly to the Research Manager of the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre, CAMH is seeking a full-time, 6-month contract Research Analyst to support a variety of research activities within the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. The Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre is the first research and education centre in Canada dedicated to improving care for adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health challenges. The Centre’s efforts are organized around four pillars – research excellence, clinical innovation, education and training, and knowledge exchange.

This position will involve expertise and knowledge around people with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their family members, as well as patient-oriented research and patient engagement. The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision on projects overseen by Azrieli Centre Clinician-Scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mixed methods evaluations, particularly related to mindfulness, mental health, or virtual program accessibility for adults with developmental disabilities and their support networks
  • Contribute to and develop knowledge translation materials tailored to autistic adults, family caregivers, and service providers
  • Support participant recruitment and engagement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and marginalized populations, with a strong equity lens
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups, in-person and virtually, with participants who may experience marginalization or stigma
  • Liaise with family advisors and individuals with lived experience with developmental disabilities to integrate feedback into research design and outputs
  • Prepare and submit REB applications and maintain research documentation with high ethical and procedural rigour
  • Work closely with CAMH staff and external community partners to design and execute stakeholder-informed program evaluations
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis using tools like NVivo, SPSS, REDCap, and Microsoft Suite
  • Translate findings into accessible reports, plain-language summaries, infographics, and content for public-facing platforms
  • Support manuscript development, conference abstracts, and presentations

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion or related degree combined with one (1) year of relevant research or clinical experience.

  • Prior research or service experience with individuals and/or families with neurodevelopmental disabilities is required in both clinical and community settings.
  • Direct experience with knowledge translation, virtual program facilitation, and evaluation frameworks
  • Experience with community-based participatory research (CBPR) or peer-led initiatives
  • Proficiency in REDCap, NVivo, SPSS, Microsoft Suite, and remote engagement platforms (Zoom, Teams)
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, and can exercise initiative and good judgment.
  • Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all work while meeting project deadlines and requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, study investigators, co-researchers,and within a dynamic inter-professional team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
