The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada and a leading research center. Our services aim to transform the lives of those affected by mental health and substance use challenges, providing patient-centered, comprehensive, coordinated care.
Reporting to the Research Manager and Principal Investigator, CAMH is seeking a full-time, 12-month contract Research Analyst to support a 5-year study on youth and adolescents with mental health multimorbidity. The project focuses on understanding mental health care trajectories in youth aged 11-25, involving diverse clinical sampling, standardized data collection, and deep phenotyping to support clinical trials.
The Research Analyst will be responsible for scheduling interviews, recruiting and screening participants, leading informed consent, administering diagnostic assessments, and assisting with procedural visits. Additional duties include maintaining study records, data entry, preparing data for presentations and publications, and other administrative tasks. The role requires evening and weekend shifts, primarily at the 1001 Queen Street site, with travel as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Neuroscience, with at least one year of relevant experience working with youth and families facing mental health challenges. Experience with neuropsychological assessments (e.g., Wechsler, NIH Toolbox), structured diagnostic interviews (e.g., KSADS-5, SCID-5), and clinical scales (e.g., RCADS-25) is required. Prior experience with neuroimaging, handling biological specimens, and mobile sensing data collection is an asset. Skills in database management (e.g., REDCap), literature review, and synthesis are essential. Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and data management software is required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are crucial. Bilingualism (French/English) or additional language skills are assets.
