Hourly Rate and Wage Grade: $36.35 - $39.69, Wage Grade 8
Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains statistical reports and other appropriate records and contacts lists for the Division
- Develops and maintains data sets as required by the Unit
- Inputs reports, documents, proposals and correspondence as required by the Unit.
- Compiles information packages and other direct mail activities in support of Unit's activities.
- Supports senior staff with special events and activities
- Establishes and maintains filing system for Unit.
- Answers telephone and written inquiries.
- Creates, updates, and maintains databases of programs, including route maps and associated maps, using appropriate mapping software
- Maintains records of litter bin installations and removals
- Maintains and updates training records in ELI web pages and prepares and manages associated reports for the Division.
- Updates and maintains databases, statistics and communications used by all levels in the division including management staff.
- Responds to business related requests for information both from internal and external sources.
- Assists with administrative support and operational duties for the Division
- Compiles and analyzes surveys used by the division for Performance Measures purposes and for other internal monitoring procedures.
- Provides information and liaises with other divisional staff
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the preparation of internal and external correspondence, and detailed reports.
- Experience using software packages such as the Microsoft Office Suite, (eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and mapping applications (eg. ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and Route Smart)
You must also have:
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, preparing clear and succinct reports and correspondence for Committees, Council and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills in combination with the ability to perform duties under minimal supervision.
- A good understanding of the technical and operational issues facing the division.
- Ability to support Toronto Public Service values and a workplace culture that champions equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Experience with TMMS, Maximo and Compuweigh systems are considered an asset.
