Job summary

ACX Windsor is seeking a skilled Repair Technician in Windsor, ON. The role focuses on repairing damaged vehicles, inspecting damage, removing and replacing parts, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all work meets OEM standards.

Licensed capability in frame work and a solid grasp of OEM procedures are valued. Responsibilities include assessing damage, estimating repair costs, performing high-quality repairs, and ensuring vehicles pass final inspection for safety and appearance.

Qualifications

• Experience performing frame work and both small and large repairs according to OEM procedures.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program or training course is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes and adherence to processes.
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• I-CAR certification training would be considered assets.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work.
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Mask, tape, prime and paint body surfaces using spray guns and sanders.
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion, dimensional accuracy and paint finish.

Your area of focus.

The Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards. A licensed technician that is capable of doing frame work, big and small repairs and does everything using OEM procedures.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job

What are the must-haves…

• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
