Job summary

ACX Windsor, part of a national collision repair network, seeks a Repair Technician to restore damaged vehicles to factory standards. You will inspect damage, remove and replace parts, and perform refinishing following OEM procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, delivering high-quality repairs, masking and painting, and verifying paint finish and dimensional accuracy on returning vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must-have relevant post-secondary auto body repair training or courses.
• Knowledge of OEM repair and refinishing processes and adherence to procedures.
• Licensed technician capable of frame work and both big and small repairs.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports and plan work with repair cost estimates.
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Mask, tape, prime and paint surfaces using spray guns and sanding tools.
• Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and paint quality.

Your area of focus.

The Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards. A licensed technician that is capable of doing frame work, big and small repairs and does everything using OEM procedures.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job

What are the must-haves…

• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effective
• I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
