AutoCanada's ACX 417 Ottawa collision centre is seeking a Repair Planner to assess vehicle damage and provide accurate repair estimates, working closely with customers, insurers, and technicians. You will write comprehensive OEM repair estimates, manage customer expectations, and ensure repairs meet client, insurer, and OEM standards, while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-year experience in a Collision Centre Estimator role.
• Ability to deliver professional and exceptional service to clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage senior leadership and other decision makers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Team player with integrity and reliability.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and resourceful.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; MS Office & SharePoint knowledge.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact to clients during the entire repair process.
• Examine and evaluate vehicle damage to determine extent (structural, body, mechanical, electrical, interior).
• Write comprehensive estimates and supplements for OEM repairs.
• Inspect vehicles during the repair process for quality control and standards compliance.
• Set customer expectations and communicate the repair plan.
• Update clients on completion times, costs and changes in status.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures and industry trends.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
• Promote a healthy and safe working environment.

Your area of focus.

As an Repair Planner, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate cost estimates for repairs. You will work closely with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians to ensure that all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Serve as a point of contact to clients during the entire repair process
• Examine and evaluate the client’s vehicle to determine the extent of damage including structural, body, mechanical, electrical and interior damage
• Write comprehensive estimates and supplements for comprehensive OEM repairs
• Inspect vehicles throughout the repair process for quality control to ensure the entire repair is completed to client, Insurance and OEM standards
• Set customer expectations of required processing procedures and communicate the repair plan
• Update and inform clients on completion times, costs and any possible changes regarding the status of the repair process
• Compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, proper repair procedures, legislative changes, and industry trends
• Provide exceptional customer service to our valued clients
• Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe working environment

• Minimum of 3-year experience in a Collision Centre Estimator role

• Ability to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet required deadlines and targets

• Excellent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Highly skilled in standard office software (MS Office, SharePoint, etc.)
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission
