Job summary

Total Power Limited in Mississauga is seeking a field technician to service, move, install, and maintain mobile generators. You will safely transport equipment to customer sites (GTA and surrounding areas) and inspect gear on delivery and return. AZ driver’s license required with driving experience; ability to lift 50 lbs; a positive, customer‑focused attitude and willingness to learn, plus on‑call availability and strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Learn and service, maintain, and install mobile generators.
• Safely transport equipment to and from customer sites (GTA area).
• Inspect equipment for damage and ensure proper condition on return.
• Complete logs and required paperwork per guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle and generator cleanliness and perform routine maintenance.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.

Primary responsibilities include rental equipment delivery/pickup, set-up/teardown, customer satisfaction and equipment inspection, repair, and maintenance. Prepares and records rental equipment and accessories delivered. Delivers equipment with the Company's rental trucks and trailers. Inspects rental equipment when it returns ensuring all equipment and accessories are returned with no damage.

What You'll Do - The Role

Learn electrical and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and install mobile generators.

Safely transport equipment and accessories to and from customer sites (mostly GTA, some long haul).

Inspect rental equipment when picked up or returned to the shop, ensuring everything is returned and identifying any damage or misuse.

Ensure logs and proper paperwork are completed according to established guidelines.

Responsible for regular maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles and generators.

Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Always demonstrate safe work practices/behaviour according to company's Health and Safety Program

What You Need

AZ driver's license in good standing (clean abstract) and driving experience.

Mechanical or Electrical Experience Preferred

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Ability to lift 50lbs and perform manual labour to install generator (installations are outdoors).

Available for on-call services outside regular business hours.

Commitment to providing world-class Customer Service.

Good communication skills are essential (written, verbal and listening).

In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government in Ontario, be available for work.
