Description

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada's premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Rental Coordinator in our Kingston location. This is a fast-paced, constantly growing branch, which relies on our team-oriented atmosphere to help maintain and build our customer base. The Rental Counter Representative is a vital position that operates as the direct liaison between staff and customers, and is a key role in developing successful relationships with our customers.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide excellent customer relations through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  2. Perform assigned tasks with attention to detail and effectively organize all documentation within company software.
  3. Work effectively within a team environment.
  4. Operate as the direct liaison between staff and customers.
  5. Open and close the branch when necessary.
  6. Prepare paperwork and contracts for deliveries; update internal product spreadsheets and other tracking systems.
  7. Facilitate customer calls and walk-ins, including sourcing equipment and supplies, and coordinating deliveries.
  8. Monitor inventories of rental equipment and saleable goods.
  9. Assist with loading and unloading customer pickups when required.
  10. Restock product shelves as needed.
  11. Prepare and organize deliveries for the following day.
  12. Complete daily closing tasks, including invoice checks, pricing accuracy, and balancing funds.
  13. On-call work schedules may be required.
  14. Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices at all times.
Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency or prior experience with Systematics is an asset.
  • Technical aptitude with CAT equipment and operations is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and building products.
  • Previous experience in a related field.
  • A self-starter with good time-management and planning skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Additional Details

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday
