Description

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada's leading Construction Rental Companies, is seeking a Rental Coordinator for our Kingston branch. This dynamic, fast-growing branch relies on a team-oriented environment to maintain and expand our customer base. The Rental Counter Representative plays a crucial role as the primary liaison between staff and customers, fostering successful relationships.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  2. Complete assigned tasks with attention to detail and organize documentation within company software.
  3. Work effectively as part of a team.
  4. Serve as the direct liaison between staff and customers.
  5. Open and close the branch as needed.
  6. Prepare paperwork and contracts for deliveries; update internal product spreadsheets and tracking systems.
  7. Handle customer calls and walk-ins, sourcing equipment and supplies, and coordinating deliveries.
  8. Monitor inventories of rental equipment and saleable goods.
  9. Assist with loading and unloading customer pickups.
  10. Restock product shelves as necessary.
  11. Organize deliveries for the following day.
  12. Complete daily closing tasks, including invoice checks, pricing accuracy, and fund balancing.
  13. Participate in on-call work schedules if required.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and environmentally sound practices.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency or experience with Systematics is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge of CAT equipment and operations is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and building products.
  • Previous related experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong time-management and planning skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
