Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator for our Montreal, QC location. The role requires coordinating rental activities, managing fleet availability, and ensuring timely delivery.

You will support cross-department collaboration to prep equipment, answer customer inquiries, and grow strong customer relationships in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in French and English, with 1–2+ years of relevant experience and solid Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rental activities and manage fleet availability.
• Arrange equipment transfers and logistics; support repairs and maintenance.
• Build and maintain customer relationships; handle calls for Montreal and Quebec City.
• Provide expert equipment advice and close rental deals from inquiries.
• Collaborate with service, sales, and parts teams to prep trucks for delivery.
• Support outside sales and uphold Alta’s guiding principles.

Alta Material Handling is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator for our Montreal, QC location.

Responsibilities

• To coordinate the activities rental.
• Position requires a lot of dedication, problem solving skills, ability to work in team, ability to learn quickly, ability to follow instructions and show initiative, great customer service skills, attention to details and is fast paced
• Arrange equipment transfers and logistics.
• Manage fleet availability, utilization and returns.
• Manage repair and maintenance of rental fleet.
• Manage customer relationships.
• Take customer calls for rental department Montreal and support Québec City
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment
• Close rental deals from inbound inquiries and outbound telemarketing calls
• Work in tandem with rental team, and with other departments (service, sales, and parts) to prep trucks and deliver in a timely fashion to customers.
• Support outside sales force
• Incorporate Alta’s Guiding Principles into daily activities.
• General support for heads of departments
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time.
• Other tasks as necessary, role may change over time depending on departmental changes.

Qualifications

• Bilingual French and English (mandatory)
• 1-2+ years of previous experience
• Ability to identify immediate concerns providing quick and effective responses
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

• Results orientated.
• Computer programs – proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
