Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Proposal Engineer – Renewables in Canada to lead the proposal process, develop cost estimates, and align technical scope with client objectives. You will coordinate pursuit teams, manage schedules, and ensure compliant, persuasive responses.

Responsibilities include PDP development, content creation, and collaboration across Sales, Technical Services, Field Services, and Project Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (electrical, structural, mechanical, civil) or equivalent experience.
• 2–6 years in proposal development, project management, technical writing, or estimating support in Power/ Renewables/ infrastructure environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate technical info into client‑facing content.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence without authority.
• Comfort with ambiguity and continuous improvement in proposal workflows and tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Open to innovation with AI tools to enhance workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead renewables proposal efforts from intake to submission, including planning, scheduling, and production.
• Review RFPs and client requirements to identify gaps and compliance needs.
• Develop proposal documents, supporting exhibits, and sales materials using approved templates.
• Write, edit, and organize content to be accurate, persuasive, and compliant.
• Prepare PDPs, assign work, track progress, and coordinate communications.
• Develop project cost estimates by coordinating inputs and assumptions.
• Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams on technical approaches and resources.
• Gather inputs from stakeholders to drive timely proposal completion.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and execution considerations; communicate impacts.
