Job summary

Fraser Health is hiring a Relief Part Time Registered Nurse for the Renal Services Hemodialysis Unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC. The role supports patient care in a dynamic nephrology setting and has a defined end date approximately August 2027 or until the incumbent returns.

The successful candidate will have post-graduate specialty education in Nephrology (Hemodialysis-Renal) or a clear plan to pursue it, with Fraser Health offering in-house specialty education sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current practicing registration with BCCNM.
• Two years' recent clinical nursing experience in the designated area.
• Post-graduate specialty education in Nephrology (Hemodialysis-Renal) or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments on admission and regularly.
• Collaborates with the inter-professional care team to develop and modify the care plan.
• Coordinates nursing care, sets priorities, assigns and delegates tasks.
• Educates patients and families on health care needs and self-care.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
