Fraser Health is actively recruiting a Full Time Registered Nurse for the Hemodialysis Renal Services team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. The role requires post-graduate nephrology education with opportunities for in-house specialty education through Fraser Health's program.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Two years recent clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area.
• Post-graduate education in nephrology (Hemodialysis-Renal) or willingness to pursue Specialty Education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments on admission and regularly thereafter.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and care team to develop and modify the care plan.
• Coordinate nursing care, set priorities, delegates tasks, and make referrals as needed.
• Promote patient education and self-care to support health goals.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
