Job summary

Outlier is seeking talented English-speaking conversationalists to help train generative AI voice models. This freelance, remote opportunity offers flexible hours, allowing you to work when it suits you.

You will participate in live, scenario-based English conversations with an AI voice model and review recordings to ensure the model follows guidelines. You will score conversations on naturalness, helpfulness, and audio quality, then explain your ratings in detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; fluent English.
• Experience with improvisation, role-play, or unscripted performance (acting, improv, podcasting, voice work).
• Customer-facing experience where you regularly handle unscripted conversations (customer service, sales, coaching, interviewing).
• Experience evaluating or reviewing conversations, calls, or audio content (QA, call auditing, content moderation).

Responsibilities

• Train conversational AI voice models through live, scenario-based conversations.
• Participate in a live, English-language conversation with an AI voice model.
• Score conversations across naturalness, helpfulness, and audio quality; explain ratings in detail.
• Review and ensure adherence to scenario guidelines and relevant instructions.
