Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare's Northern Staffing Program invites you to deliver in-home nursing across remote northern communities in Nunavut. This 4-week assignment offers a rewarding pace and the chance to broaden clinical skills while making a real difference in Indigenous communities.

Visit homes and long-term care facilities to provide treatment, monitor stable conditions with regular follow-ups, and conduct in-home assessments for patients unable to attend clinics.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with active license in good standing.
  • Licensed Nurse registered in good standing.
  • Willing to obtain license in provinces/territories of work; meet required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Visit homes and long-term care facilities to provide treatment and support for residents as needed.
  • Monitor and manage stable conditions through regular in-home visits, offering daily or weekly follow-up care.
  • Conduct comprehensive in-home assessments and deliver ongoing care for patients who are unable to attend clinic appointments.

Pay: $47/hour + $22/hour non-taxed Northern Allowance

Who You Are:


  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursingand havea nursing license through the governing body in good standing

  • You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing

  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work

  • You meet the required work experience

  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
