Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare invites qualified nurses to join its Northern Staffing Program, delivering care in remote northern communities across Canada.

Earn $50/hour plus a $22/hour non-taxed Northern Allowance, with fully paid travel and a comprehensive orientation. Work collaboratively in teams with expanded scope, providing education, immunizations and holistic care to diverse populations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Nursing license in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Willingness to obtain license in target provinces/territories.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support health promotion initiatives (well-baby, well-mom, immunizations) in communities.
  • Plan and deliver education campaigns (flu shot awareness) to promote healthy living.
  • Collaborate in a team-based environment with expanded nursing scope.
  • Apply advanced nursing skills in observation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling and teaching.
  • Ensure client comfort, safety and well-being within the scope of practice.

The work you will do:
  • Lead and support health promotion initiatives, including well-baby and well-mom programs, immunization clinics, and community wellness activities
  • Plan and deliver education programs and campaigns (e.g., flu shot awareness) to promote healthy living within the community
  • Work collaboratively in a team-based environment, practicing within an expanded scope to provide comprehensive healthcare services
  • Apply advanced nursing skills in observation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching, aligned with individualized care plans
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients at all times, within the scope of practice

Who You Are:
  • You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
  • You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work
  • You meet the required work experience
  • Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview
