Job summary

Fonemed is expanding its telehealth services and seeks enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners for a work-from-home position with flexible scheduling. Join a team of over 50 NPs and assess patients using telephone and video, delivering care where the patient is.

A Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, prescription, and follow-up within an independent yet collaborative care model. You must have your own computer system with two monitors, USB headset, webcam, high-speed

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or willingness to obtain licensure with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Preferred 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Experience in emergency or urgent care is an asset.
• Strong computer and technology skills for virtual care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient presentation and determine level of care.
• Diagnose, prescribe, and order tests per guidelines.
• Coordinate treatment plans and follow up.
• Communicate findings to patient and care team.
• Discuss prognosis and options with patients and document records.
• Advocate for patients and refer to appropriate services.
