Job summary

Fonemed is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for virtual urgent care. Work from home with flexible scheduling and the ability to assess patients via phone and video. You will diagnose, prescribe, and order tests within provincial regulations while coordinating with a clinical team.

Ideal candidates have NP training, current or willing licensure, and experience in telehealth or urgent care. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for independent and collaborative practice in a remote

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure as an NP in applicable province.
• Experience with telehealth or virtual care is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in a virtual clinic environment and determine appropriate level of care.
• Diagnose, prescribe, and order tests within professional standards and regulations.
• Coordinate treatment plans and follow-up with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Communicate findings and prognosis to patients and care teams, documenting in charts.
• Advocate for patients and refer to appropriate services in the continuum of care.
• Follow best practice guidelines in virtual care.
