Aurora Cannabis is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance Division with the option to work remotely across Canada. You will support month-end closings, ensure accuracy of financial records, and assist with reporting packages and audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Public company accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in account reconciliations across multiple currencies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closings including account analyses and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and variance analysis.
• Support monthly consolidated results, quarterly and annual external financial statements and MD&A.
• Prepare journal entries as necessary.
• Assist with quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Provide cross-functional support for new and ongoing business initiatives.
• Identify process improvements and help implement changes.
• Ensure SOX controls are followed in responsible areas.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.
