Job summary

Thales Canada Inc., Defence and Security in British Columbia is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of complex programs, ensuring schedule, cost, scope and quality while coordinating a cross‑functional team across in‑house and client environments.

The role requires strong communication, deep project management experience (10+ years) in a matrix setting, and familiarity with naval programs. Hybrid/remote work is supported, with travel mainly within Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• IPMA or PMP certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing complex projects in a matrix organization.
• Experience with Naval ISS and Work Period Management.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
• Positive and energized attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, lead and control the project team and activities within delegated authority.
• Establish and manage project governance, schedule and cost baselines.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodology and program framework.
• Develop robust project schedules and monitor cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and coordinate with resource managers.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams and promote execution excellence.
• Prepare reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured.
