Job summary

Ciena Corporation seeks a Network Recovery Senior Associate to respond to critical outages, troubleshoot using Ciena products, and document resolutions. You will collaborate with engineers and customers to restore service quickly and share lessons learned for ongoing improvement.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage every 4–6 weeks and producing interim root cause analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a Ciena technical support role or equivalent.
• Experience documenting detailed root cause analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and in high-pressure outage situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to critical customer cases to restore service-impacting conditions.
• Troubleshoot outages using Ciena products and routing/switching tech.
• Document actions, resolutions, and interim root cause analyses.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation every 4–6 weeks.
• Share lessons learned to improve network recovery outcomes.
