Job summary

Penn Interactive, part of PENN Entertainment, is hiring a remote Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Client Platform. This full-time role is based with work location in Canada.

You will work across front-end and back-end GraphQL, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and SQL to support web and mobile clients. You will design and evolve GraphQL schemas, develop APIs, build front-end apps, ensure performance and accessibility, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• 2+ years designing GraphQL schemas for multi-client surfaces.
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, and browser APIs.
• Experience with API development in Node or Bun.
• Kubernetes experience.
• On-call rotation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve GraphQL schemas in a federated graph.
• Develop, scale, and optimize GraphQL APIs, RPC endpoints, and SQL queries.
• Build front-end applications and shared libraries with React and TypeScript.
• Build web applications that are fast and accessible.
• Set up monitoring and alerting in DataDog for systems you own.
• Write thorough tests and strengthen CI/CD pipelines.
