Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join our remote team, focusing on identifying and evaluating mineral prospects across regions from a home office. The role emphasizes autonomy, analytical rigor, and scalable discovery strategies.

You will lead exploration programs, analyze geological datasets, build models, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior staff while staying current with industry advances in a flexible, region-wide remote environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geology or related Earth Science field.
• 10+ years of progressive mineral exploration experience with a track record.
• Strong ability to map, interpret geochemical/geophysical data and build models.
• Proficient with GIS, Leapfrog, Vulcan and 3D visualization tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication, capable of remote leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of exploration programs, including targeting and budget oversight.
• Analyze complex geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify targets.
• Develop geological models and use software for data visualization and interpretation.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for management and investment committees.
• Mentor junior geologists and stay updated on exploration technologies.
