Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote role focused on optimizing subsurface resources, applying advanced modeling, and maximizing recovery and economic value. You will work independently, developing reservoir models, performing decline analyses, and advising management on development strategy across conventional and unconventional assets.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, degrees in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, and strong proficiency with Eclipse,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering with exposure to conventional and unconventional resources.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE) and data analysis/visualization.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, petrophysics, fluid properties, and rock mechanics.
• Proven ability to perform economic analysis and risk assessment for development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed reservoir models using advanced simulation software to predict reservoir performance under various development scenarios.
• Conduct reservoir characterization studies, integrating geological, geophysical, and engineering data to understand reservoir heterogeneity and fluid flow.
• Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and volumetric assessments to estimate reserves and optimize production strategies.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) or improved gas recovery (IGR) techniques.
• Collaborate remotely with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to ensure integrated reservoir management.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for management and stakeholders regarding reservoir potential and development plans.
