Job summary

ESO is building a leading cyber security team in Canada and seeks a Security Engineering Team Leader to guide security engineers in protecting mission-critical applications. You’ll work with global teams to ensure security-by-design and implement standards across a multi-cloud environment.

This remote Canada-based role requires strong leadership, threat modelling expertise, and collaboration with product and technology teams to safeguard customers and data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years securing software or infrastructure in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Well-Architected Frameworks (e.g. Azure Well-Architected)
• Experience with securing networks, hosts, web apps, and cloud-native deployments
• Familiar with security tooling: SIEM, PAM, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, DLP, SWG, WAF
• Understanding and/or deployment of SAST/DAST/IAST/RASP

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Security Engineers, providing decision making and solution analysis
• Support Product & Technology teams to secure platforms and improve application security
• Model threats using STRIDE on new designs and ensure protections are in place
• Mitigate vulnerabilities and evaluate next-gen security technologies
• Respond to security and compliance issues from analyses or automation tools
• Collaborate cross-team to impart security expertise across ESO
