Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Safety Engineer for an oil and gas client. You will develop, implement, and monitor HSE programs from your home office, conducting risk assessments and promoting a strong safety culture across operations.

You will work with site teams and management to ensure regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining independence and effective remote communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety engineering with a focus on oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards (e.g., OHS Act, NEBOSH).
• Experience in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage safety programs remotely.
