Job summary

Community Housing Transformation Centre is hiring a Regional Energy Coach for a maternity leave replacement. The role is fully remote with occasional travel, open to candidates in Quebec or Ontario, and focuses on coaching non-profit housing providers in energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.

Responsibilities include energy assessments, funding access, tool development, and program reporting. Strong bilingual communication, energy knowledge, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field; a graduate degree would be an asset.
• Bilingual English and French required.
• Knowledge of building construction, building systems, and sustainability required.
• Experience and proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching on energy-smart ideas and information on energy efficiency.
• Conduct virtual energy assessments and accompany providers on site tours to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Assist providers in applying for and accessing funding, including SAH funds.
• Co-develop and share capacity-building tools like the E-SAT across the sector.
• Write reports from energy audits and maintain building data in the Centre's database.
• Support energy projects from planning to implementation with stakeholders.
