Job summary

National Bank of Canada in Mississauga, Ontario seeks a Manager, Financing Solutions within the Commercial 1859 team. You will work closely with Commercial Account Managers and partners as a credit expert to support client financing needs.

You will perform high-quality credit analyses, structure applications, negotiate terms, and ensure profitability while collaborating with Credit Risk Management and account teams. Flexible work-from-home options and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 4 years, or National Bank University Program diploma with 8 years.
• Experience in commercial credit and analyzing financial statements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate and form well-reasoned recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality credit analyses and make recommendations.
• Structure credit applications (board sheet structuring) and develop financing scenarios.
• Determine client financing needs with Commercial Account Manager.
• Negotiate terms with Credit Risk Management and confirm financing availability.
• Incorporate Account Manager comments, present to RVP, ensure profitability.
• Produce documents and update client files with Credit Risk Management.
• Serve as a resource for the team and assist skills development.
• Identify risks inherent to sector activities.
