Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a leading financial technology client to recruit a Program Manager based in Canada. The role is fully remote and requires overseeing complex program delivery across banking and fintech initiatives, with governance, risk, and regulatory compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in project or program management, including 5+ years in banking/financial technology.
• Experience managing complex, multi‑project programs with regulatory requirements and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of program governance, PMO, delivery frameworks, and portfolio management.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI PgMP, or SAFe Portfolio Management are desirable.
• Experience with SAFe, LeSS, or Disciplined Agile Delivery and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Understanding of financial services regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2, SOC 2, ISO 27001, SAMA).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern architectures (microservices, API ecosystems, DevSecOps).
• Excellent leadership, messaging, and executive stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee program governance structures, including RACI matrices and steering committees.
• Align multi‑project portfolios with strategy and measurable business value.
• Develop program roadmaps, budgets, milestones, and KPIs.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects with cross‑functional coordination.
• Lead and mentor project managers and cross‑functional leads across engineering, security, and compliance.
• Establish best practices for program execution, agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and governance.
• Monitor regulatory and compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2, SOC 2, ISO 27001, SAMA).
• Identify and mitigate program‑level risks and inter‑project dependencies.
• Provide executive reports on progress, risks, and business outcomes.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
• Partner with C‑level executives on strategic decisions balancing innovation and risk.
• Drive adoption of scalable delivery methodologies and governance across the program portfolio.
• Coordinate technology transformations involving cloud platforms and DevSecOps.
