Job summary

Pets Plus Us, part of Independence Pet Holdings, is seeking a Claims Processor to join our remote Canada team. You will review veterinary medical histories, determine eligibility, and issue claims decisions to policyholders while coordinating with veterinary hospitals.

The role requires 3+ years in the veterinary field for licensed technicians or 5+ years for unlicensed assistants, and a Canada location. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician or 5+ years if an unlicensed assistant
• Must be located in Canada
• High school or secondary school diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate medical history and determine health baseline
• Reviews policies to make eligibility determinations
• Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholders
• May order medical records from providers
• Communicates with clients and providers during treatment
