Job summary

Pets Plus Us, part of Independence Pet Holdings, is seeking a Claims Processor to join our remote Canada team. You will review veterinary medical histories, determine eligibility, and issue claims decisions to policyholders while coordinating with veterinary hospitals.

The Claims Processor will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and processing insurance claims and determining policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.Job Location: Remote – Canada Compensation: $44,000 CAD annuallyMain Responsibilities:Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.Reviews policies to make eligibility determination.Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholders.May order medical records from providers.May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
