Job summary

Pets Plus Us is seeking a Claims Processor to investigate, evaluate, and process insurance claims and determine coverage for claimed losses and compensation amounts.

Job location is Remote – Canada with a annual compensation of CAD 44,000. You will work with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to assess medical histories and eligibility, issuing decisions and handling documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician; 5+ years if unlicensed assistant.
• Must be located in Canada.
• High school or GED required.
• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to review medical history and establish a health baseline.
• Review policies to determine eligibility for claims.
• Create and issue claims decisions to policyholders.
• May order medical records from providers.
• May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary

Pets Plus Us is seeking a Claims Processor. The Claims Processor will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and processing insurance claims and determining policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.

Job Location: Remote – Canada Compensation: $44,000 CAD annually

Main Responsibilities

• Works closely with veterinary hospitals and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
• Reviews policies to make eligibility determination.
• Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholders.
• May order medical records from providers.
• May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician or 5+ years in the veterinary field if an unlicensed assistant.
• Must be located in Canada.
• High school or secondary school diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).

Preferred Qualifications

• Veterinary technician licensure strongly preferred.
