Kerr Wood Leidal (KWL) is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) with 8–12 years of experience in district energy and low‑carbon thermal systems. This Ontario‑based remote role supports a multidisciplinary Energy team, delivering practical designs and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with PEO.
• Approximately 8–12 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in district energy or thermal infrastructure.
• Ability to perform technical assignments with limited supervision and high degree of judgment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical design for district energy, energy centres, and low‑carbon thermal projects.
• Organize work to timelines and communicate progress early.
• Prepare calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, system layouts, drawings, specs, and tender packages.
• Coordinate with related disciplines to develop constructible solutions.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and build relationships.
• Support business development and pursue Ontario opportunities.
• Assist project managers with scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
