Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare offers a nursing assignment in remote northern communities across Canada for 2–6 weeks. You will provide primary and emergency care in a nursing station, expanding your scope of practice.

Travel is fully paid, compensation is competitive with incentives, and you receive orientation and ongoing professional development from a dedicated team serving Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or better.
• A minimum of 3,000 hours within the past 3–5 years in acute or critical care nursing, specifically in Emergency Department or ICU.
• OR 1,500–3,000 hours providing care in remote, isolated communities as a Community Health Nurse.
• OR 4,500 hours in Med-Surg (Nunavut only).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and emergency care in nursing stations/Health Centers in communities.
• Utilize observation, assessment, nursing diagnoses, counseling, and health teaching per care plan.
• Engage in health promotion, planning and implementing care using guidelines; travel nursing; IPAC and immunizations.
• Maintain client safety and comfort within scope of practice.
