Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is offering a Northern Staffing Program role for Nurse Practitioners in remote northern communities of Canada. This short-term assignment emphasizes expanded scope of practice, travel, and delivering primary and emergency care across diverse ages.

You will work in collaboration with a team, applying advanced clinical skills, leading care planning, and supporting immunizations and infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing.
• 1,125–3,000 hours in the past 3 years as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care.
• OR 3,000 hours in the past 3 years delivering care in remote, isolated communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary and emergency care in clinics and nursing stations for all ages.
• Apply advanced assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching.
• Lead health promotion, assessments, and care planning per Best Practice Guidelines.
• Provide services including IPAC, immunizations, and travel nursing.
• Ensure client comfort and safety within appropriate scope of practice.
