Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare invites registered nurses to join its Northern Staffing Program for remote assignments in Canada’s northern communities. Positions are 2-6 weeks, with a focus on primary and emergency care within nursing stations and health centers.

Candidates should hold a Nursing license in good standing and a Bachelor’s degree, with 3,000 hours in acute/critical care or 1,500–3,000 hours in remote/community health settings in the past 3–5 years.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with licensing body.
• Bachelor degree or higher in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum 3,000 hours in acute/critical care in last 3–5 years or 1,500–3,000 hours in remote/community health nursing in last 3–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and emergency nursing care in clinics/health centers in remote communities.
• Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching per care plans.
• Promote health, plan and implement care using Best Practice guidelines; include IPAC and immunizations.
• Ensure physical, emotional and spiritual safety within scope of practice.
