Job summary

Spade Recruiting seeks a reliable Mechanic Assistant/Laborer to support gravel construction, aggregate supply, and hauling operations. You will perform daily maintenance tasks, assist the Lead mechanic, and help keep a safe, clean, and organized workshop.

This full-time, remote role requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, a willingness to learn, and basic problem-solving skills. You will coordinate with shop management to maintain schedules and complete repair documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Class 5) required or preferred
• Mechanic Apprenticeship is an asset but not required
• Willingness to learn and work hard is an asset
• Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• OH&S knowledge and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
• Assist Lead mechanic in repairs
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Coordinate with shop management to keep schedules and priorities
• Follow procedures and document equipment repairs
• Attend company safety training as required
