Job summary

BBA Consultants in Montreal is seeking a bilingual Materials Management Professional to oversee comprehensive materials management for large-scale projects. You will lead warehousing, inventory control and material issuance to support construction execution, aligning procedures with EPCM/EPC practices.

You will also develop and document site procedures, ensure QA/QC alignment, and drive continuous improvement in material management processes while maintaining robust documentation and control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Proficiency with inventory and material tracking systems (SAP, SmartPlant, or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, planning and communication skills in both French and English.
• Familiarity with Quebec labour standards and CNESST regulations.
• Experience with logistics and site materials management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee the setup, staffing and daily operations of warehouses, laydown yards and storage areas.
• Develop material management plans, SOPs, forms and site execution strategies.
• Oversee receiving processes and coordinate QA/QC documentation and inspections.
• Maintain real-time inventory and ensure traceability of materials.
• Coordinate material issuance with planning and construction teams.
• Manage returns, surplus tracking and reconciliations for project closeout.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards and pursue process improvements.
