Job summary

Perseus Group, part of the Gemini/Constellation family, is expanding its M&A Business Development presence in Canada. The role focuses on sourcing software opportunities, building strategic relationships with CEOs, M&A advisors, and private equity professionals, and delivering measurable sourcing KPIs.

The role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid Toronto office, with occasional travel. A strong BD background and a proactive, executive-facing approach are essential for long‑term pipeline

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years in business development/sales at a software company or in an M&A/finance BD role.
• Preference for outbound origination experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with executives (CEOs, MDs, VPs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage an M&A pipeline through Salesforce CRM.
• Create market maps and build strategic relationships with software industry targets.
• Meet and exceed monthly M&A sourcing KPIs and LOI activity.
• Qualify opportunities at the top of the funnel for Portfolio Managers.
