Job summary

Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing in Gold Bridge, BC is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team and develop into the Executive Chef position.

Join a remote mountain resort with winter heli-skiing and private fine-dining programs. You will lead daily kitchen operations, shape seasonal menus, mentor the culinary team and help manage costs while delivering exceptional guest experiences across resort dining, weddings and events.

Qualifications

• Strong fine-dining background with high-end clientèle experience.
• Creative, organized and confident leading a kitchen.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, tasting-menu restaurants, private dining, resorts or high-end catering is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Daily kitchen leadership and service.
• Seasonal menu development and execution.
• Private fine-dining and multi-course culinary programs.
• Restaurant, wedding, catering and event operations.
• Training and mentoring the culinary team.
• Ordering, receiving and inventory management.
• Food cost, waste and purchasing controls.
• Scheduling and labour management.
• Maintaining strong standards for food quality, organization and sanitation.
