Job summary

OffSeq is seeking aJunior Cybersecurity Engineer to begin an offensive-security career under mentorship. You'll engage with client engagements and learn to assess systems from an attacker’s perspective.

Responsibilities include supporting penetration tests, recon, vulnerability scanning, and reporting in English and Latvian. The role emphasizes learning, curiosity and ownership with a remote/hybrid setup across the Baltics.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity through CTFs, home labs, education or personal projects.
• Solid fundamentals in networking, Linux/Windows and at least one scripting language.
• Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap or Wireshark.
• Eagerness to learn, rigor, and clear communication in English.
• Latvian is an advantage. Certifications such as eJPT, Security+ or OSCP in progress are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support penetration tests, audits and monitoring under senior guidance.
• Conduct reconnaissance, vulnerability scanning and OSINT and assist with validating and prioritizing findings.
• Help prepare clear, well-structured reports in English and Latvian.
• Build laboratory environments, develop skills through CTF exercises and progress toward leading your own engagements.
• Contribute across the team; curiosity, reliability and ownership matter more than years of experience.
