Job summary

dbrand Canada is seeking a Junior Industrial Designer to join the Product Development team in Mississauga. You’ll take devices from concept through DFM to production-ready CAD, and support them through samples, tooling, and the final golden sample.

You’ll work on fast-moving projects with cross-functional teams, refining designs under tight deadlines while maintaining quality and manufacturability. This role is fully remote with occasional HQ visits in Canada.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Industrial Design or equivalent experience.
• Production-ready CAD skills to go straight to tooling.

Responsibilities

• Take products from initial sketch through DFM to mass production and stay with them until gold sample is approved.
• Build and review production-ready CAD that can go straight to tooling.
• Test and review samples at every stage and provide actionable feedback.
• Carry products through partner certification programs and ensure on-time submissions.
• Keep quality and schedule on track with clear written communication.
• Participate in market research and occasionally present to the rest of the company.
