Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking an IT Procurement Analyst to lead procurement projects for IT goods and services across government. This role reports to the IT Procurement Manager and focuses on value, risk management, compliance, and strategic objectives.

You will collaborate with business areas, perform data analysis, support planning and reporting, and mentor IT Procurement Officers while ensuring alignment with policies and trade agreements. Remote work is available across Alberta.

Qualifications

• University graduation in a related field such as Business, Public Administration, Procurement, Contract and Vendor Relationship Management.

Responsibilities

• Execute IT procurement activities to ensure best practices and high standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support effective procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and contract management.
• Conduct procurement data analysis, reporting, and monitoring to support informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with GoA policies, trade agreements, and record‑keeping standards.
• Support procurement projects of varying complexity and contribute to strategic initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to IT Procurement Officers.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the organization.
