Job summary

LRO Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a six-month contract. This fully remote role requires residency in the Ottawa or Toronto area, with responsibilities spanning monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, IFRS accounting, and coordination with external auditors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with global, multi-country exposure and year-end close responsibilities.
• Strong IFRS expertise including percentage-of-completion (POC) revenue recognition.
• Experience coordinating year-end reporting and audit deliverables with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned areas of the global accounting cycle, including monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting schedules; investigate discrepancies and resolve issues before close.
• Review IFRS financial statements and accompanying notes, coordinate inputs from global teams, ensure consistency with records.
• Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and resolve items with global teams.
• Work with external auditors on corporate and local audits; prepare schedules and respond to queries.
• Research and resolve technical accounting matters under IFRS, including POC revenue recognition.
