Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Operator to join a major civil earthworks project in remote Northern Saskatchewan. You will operate a range of heavy equipment to support site development, mass excavation, grading and pad construction.

The role requires safety focus, versatility, and the ability to read site plans and grade stakes. GPS machine control experience is a plus; camp accommodation is provided with a 14 days on / 7 days off schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in a construction, mining, or earthworks environment.
• Proven operating experience on excavators, dozers, graders or loaders.
• Ability to read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and construction layouts.
• Experience using GPS machine control systems; without is preferred.
• Grade control experience on excavators, dozers, and graders is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license and 3 years driver’s abstract.
• CSTS-2020 Fundamentals ticket.
• Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification.
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment in accordance with project requirements and Ledcor safety standards.
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and earthmoving activities.
• Operate: Excavators (25T, 35T, 60T), Dozers (D6), Graders (16M) Loaders (950/966).
• Complete pre-trip inspections and daily equipment reports.
• Work closely with supervisors, survey teams, and other operators to achieve production and quality targets.
• Maintain awareness of construction hazards.
• Adhere to Ledcor safety policies and site requirements.
