Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Operator to join a major civil earthworks project in remote Northern Saskatchewan.

You will operate a variety of heavy equipment to support site development, mass excavation, grading, pad construction, and related earthworks activities. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment, reads site plans, and is proficient with GPS machine control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in construction, mining, or earthworks.
• Experience reading site plans, grade stakes, and construction layouts.
• Experience with GPS machine control systems is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; CSTS-2020 Fundamentals ticket; Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment per project requirements and Ledcor safety standards.
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and earthmoving tasks.
• Operate excavators, dozers, graders and loaders as required (e.g., 25T–60T excavators, D6 dozer, 16M grader, 950/966 loaders).
• Complete pre-trip inspections and daily equipment reports.
• Collaborate with supervisors, survey teams and other operators to meet production and quality targets.
• Maintain awareness of construction hazards and adhere to site safety policies.
