Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility Operator to join a major civil earthworks project in remote Northern Saskatchewan. You will operate heavy equipment across excavation, grading, and related earthworks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of multi-equipment experience, GPS machine control familiarity, and a strong safety mindset. Camp accommodations and weekly wages support a long-term field role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in construction/mining/earthworks.
• Experience on excavators, dozers, graders or loaders.
• Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and construction layouts.
• Experience using GPS machine control systems; preferred but not essential.
• Grade control experience on excavators, dozers, and graders is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license and 3 years drivers abstract.
• CSTS-2020 Fundamentals ticket is required.
• Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification is required.
• Must pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment in accordance with project requirements and Ledcor safety standards
• Perform excavation, grading, loading, material handling, and earthmoving activities
• Operate: Excavators (25T, 35T, 60T), Dozers (D6), Graders (16M) Loaders (950/966)
• Complete pre-trip inspections and daily equipment reports
• Work closely with supervisors, survey teams, and other operators to achieve production and quality targets
• Maintain awareness of construction hazards
