Job summary

ODAIA is hiring a Senior Data Implementation Engineer to configure and implement our AI-driven platform for customer data success. You will lead data discovery, design robust ETL pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable data delivery across client deployments.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Business Acceleration, mentor engineers, and contribute to best practices while maintaining a customer-centric focus and strong communication with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with data migration and ETL end-to-end.
• 5+ years with Snowflake and AWS (Glue/S3) or equivalent cloud data infrastructure.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL, including performance tuning and writing production-grade code.
• Deep experience with APIs and integration framework.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow) and declarative pipelines (dbt).
• Proven track record of leading complex implementations or data migrations from discovery through delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset, with demonstrated success owning ambiguous technical problems.
• Experience in life sciences/pharma industry, familiarity with Veeva Vault or Salesforce is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing data discovery, assessment, and integration, serving as the technical authority on how customer data assets are brought into our platform.
• Define technical requirements and implementation approaches with customers, our support team, and other internal teams, and own triage and escalation of reported issues across implementations.
• Architect, configure, and deploy platform solutions tailored to each customer, connecting seamlessly with their existing systems and setting the technical direction for complex or non-standard integrations.
• Design, build, and maintain automated, config-driven ETL workflows, using tools like Snowflake and AWS Glue, to enable repeatable, high-quality data ingestion at scale.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across the data pipeline - from ingestion and transformation through orchestration and system configuration - and drive durable fixes rather than one-off patches.
• Own the weekly data delivery cycle for a portfolio of customers, proactively resolving issues to keep deliveries on time and error-free, and define the monitoring and alerting that keeps them that way.
• Identify recurring manual work in the implementation and delivery process - including manual trigger steps - and lead the effort to automate it, establishing reusable patterns and standards that improve scalability across the team.
• Mentor Data Implementation Engineers, review their work, and contribute to implementation best practices, documentation, and onboarding.
• Partner with Engineering and Business Acceleration to feed customer and pipeline learnings back into the product and delivery roadmap.
• Uphold and help shape data security and privacy protocols in line with industry standards.
