The Motley Fool Canada is seeking a skilled editor to join our team on an independent contract basis, working 20-25 hours per week. This fully remote role requires residency in Canada.

The editor will content-edit investing and retirement articles, copy edit for grammar and accuracy, and publish in WordPress with required metadata. Collaboration with the managing editor will help ensure factual accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience editing online editorial content.
• Strong grammar and financial fact-checking skills.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple pieces and hit daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Content-edit articles about investing and retirement planning to ensure flow, engagement, and accuracy.
• Copy edit articles to remove errors.
• Publish articles in WordPress with required metadata (images, stock tickers, disclosures).
• Collaborate with the managing editor to understand investing concepts and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide constructive feedback to writers and editors to improve content quality.
